vCard QR code for your business card.
Whoever gets your business card usually types your number and email by hand. With a QR code, one scan saves your details straight to their contacts. Create it here as a vCard, free and without an account.

How to make your vCard code
Four steps, all on this page.
- 1
Enter your details
Under “Contact” you enter what should end up in the phone. A name or company is enough; every extra field makes the code denser.
- 2
Choose the look
Colours, patterns and your logo. A frame saying “Save contact” tells people what the scan does.
- 3
Set the size
Once created, the generator shows the minimum size for your code. Use it to pick the width of the print PDF.
- 4
Scan a test print
Scan the test print with two different phones. Then send the file to the printer.
Size and print
Our rule of thumb: a module, the smallest dot of the code, is at least one three-hundredth of the scanning distance, and never under 0.4 mm.
Size depends on content
The sample details in the form with name, company, phone, email and website make 57 × 57 modules at error correction M, the usual level. For a 20 cm distance the code then needs 4.5 cm.
Keep the margin clear
Leave 4 modules clear around the code, as the ISO/IEC 18004 standard requires. The generator sets this margin and warns you if it drops below 2 modules.
Small thanks to a short link
A dynamic contact code only holds a short link: 25 × 25 modules at error correction M. For a 20 cm distance, 2.5 cm is enough.
Common mistakes
Every field filled in
More details make the code denser and larger. What is already printed on the card, such as the address, can stay out of the code.
Printed too small
Below the minimum size some phones struggle to read the code. Stick to the size the generator shows after creating it.
New number, old code
A static code only knows today's details. If something changes soon, the dynamic contact code is the better choice.
Change your details later?
In your account the code leads to a contact page with a button to save the contact and, if you like, your photo. When something changes, you update the details there and your printed cards stay valid. In the free account every code is active for 7 days from creation, then paused until you choose a paid plan.
Frequently asked questions
What is a vCard?
A vCard is the standard format for contact details. The code contains it in version 3.0, and common phone cameras offer to save the contact.
Which details fit into the code?
First name, last name, company, phone, email, website, street, postcode, city and country, up to 1,200 bytes in total. The less you enter, the smaller you can print the code.
Can I change my details later?
Not with a static code: the details sit in the image. With an account you create a dynamic contact code. It shows a contact page with a button to save the contact, and you change the details at any time. In the free account every code is active for 7 days from creation, then paused until you choose a paid plan. See pricing
Do you store my contact details?
Not for a static code: the details only end up in the image you download. In your account we store them, because the contact page shows them.
